This is a key biological process that maintains the integrity of the tissues when challenged by a wide range of inflammatory insults. Acute inflammation is most often beneficial, but its initiation and resolution must be co-ordinated accurately to prevent chronic inflammation and fibrosis. Aquila is developing a suite of in vitro predictive assays that will allow the best target-based lead compound selection to take into a range of in life inflammatory models.
