Immunology

To improve immunity to infection and the outcome for patients with cancer, or to treat unwanted autoimmune and allergic diseases requires analysis of the strength and quality of the underlying immune response.

Aquila has designed in vitro assays to best mimic in vivo immune activation, allowing assessment of your compound’s effects on the activation and differentiation of innate immune cells, T lymphocytes and B lymphocytes using standard as well as more sophisticated immunoassays. These can be configured to different pathological settings (eg Th2/allergy, or Th1/Th17/autoimmune disease).

The information gained from these in vitro assays will give you greater confidence at the key decision point of lead compound selection, before in life testing. Our T cell-Tracker and MBP-Tracker technologies then allow us to specifically identify your compound’s functional effects on pathogenic immune cells.
